Lucky charms

You've probably already seen/read/heard about about how Kevin Garnett got down and kissed the Celtic logo after Boston clenched their 17th title by throttling the Lakers. But only Basketbawful reader AK Dave sent in a picture of it with the following message: "I think you can see what KG is doing to the Leprechaun. Apparently he's doing something right, judging by the wink-and-smile the 'receiver' is displaying."

Wow. I guess they really are always after his "lucky charms"...

Well, Ainge did McHale "the favor"... or wait, was it the other way around? Not that it matters, KG just returned "the favor" by doing in public what Aigne did in private to get Garnett there.

No matter who won the Finals people are going to say it was from a ripoff trade. Boston got KG from the Wolves for cheap (though Al Jeff looks like he'll be one of the great big men in the coming years). LA got Gasol from the Grizzlies for expiring contracts and a bag of chips. The argument of a rip-off trade works both ways.

Wait, wait!

And then he partied with the real leprechaun!

I dunno. The guys traded for Garnett have actually done pretty well statistically. Compare that to the guys traded for Gasol...yikes!

Bawful - I'm a little disappointed with you ... how is there not a picture of Big Baby from the parade? He may be a champion, but he has no right to disrespect our eyes with his man-boobs and flab. It was a visual assault on my senses! Kornheiser put it best: "He looks like a mudslide".

I know the season's over, but that's WoTN material!

the celtics straight up outplayed the lakers this series. it will be an active offseason for a lot of NBA teams to keep up with the arms race in the league right now. i wrote about some of these thoughts here: dishingdimes.blogspot.com

love the site guys! keep it up!

That's a good point JonnyDrama. I guess I shouldn't have harped so much on the Celtics "acquiring" a championship on my NBA Blog. The Lakers also made a rip-off trade. They still aren't equals though because Allen and KG plus some good reserves in PJ Brown, House, and Posey all jumped on the bandwagon.
